Paul Edward McIntosh, 79, of Crothersville, passed away at 6:59 a.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.
Born April 12, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Henry and Mayme (Griffith) McIntosh. He married Brenda (Smith) McIntosh on March 31, 1960, in Crothersville. She preceded him in death on August 26, 2019.
He graduated from Paris Crossing High School in 1958 and served in the U.S. National Guard from 1956 until 1962. He worked for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus for 44 years as the swing man on the block line, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed gardening, farming, fishing, and collecting knives.
Paul is survived by his sons, Brian McIntosh of Indianapolis and Bradley (Katherine) McIntosh of Seymour; sister, Janice Wall of North Vernon; and grandchildren, Amanda McIntosh of Indianapolis and Jonathon McIntosh of Seymour.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
A funeral service for Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2019, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in the Cana Cemetery in Paris Crossing.
Memorials may be made in honor of Paul to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
