Phyllis P. Elliott, 92, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at her residence.
Born July 15, 1933, in Queensville, she was the daughter of the late Guy Lester and Josephine Phillips Parks. Phyllis was a 1951 graduate of North Vernon High School.
Phyllis worked for 20 years for Cosco in Columbus before retiring in 1999 and had previously worked on the assembly line for Western Electric in Indianapolis for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading and watching television.
Survivors include her son, Tracy Elliott of North Vernon; her daughter, Sherry Cooper of North Vernon; granddaughter, Angel Elliott of North Vernon; and niece Dela (Tony) Holley of Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry W. “Swannie” Elliott; sisters, Betty Fox and Clara Hunsucker; and grandson, Robert Allen “Robby” Redding.
A funeral service for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. The visitation for Family and friends will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Phyllis through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
