Rebecca Sue Constant, 65, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at her residence.
Born April 2, 1955, in Seymour, she was the daughter of the late Robert Andrew and Jean (Windell) Harvey. She married Terry Peet Constant on June 30, 2001 in Jeffersonville; he preceded her in death on September 5, 2012.
Rebecca was a 1973 graduate of Jennings County High School. She worked for Rocky Top in Hayden, for several gas stations and for Waffle House in Seymour, and as a taxicab driver, truck driver, and seamstress. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour and enjoyed crafts, collecting gemstones and rocks, and fishing.
She is survived by her sons, Jasen Wortman of North Vernon and Matthew Wortman of Kentucky; brothers, Dennis McNulty of Indianapolis, Cliff (Barbara) Sharp of Greenwood, Rick (Debbie) Budd of Ogilville, and John Andrew and Jeff Andrew, both of Hayden; sisters, Pam Wilson of Hayden, Brenda Andrews and Patricia Miller, both of Seymour, and Debbie Evans of Greenwood; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded is death by her parents and her husband.
In keeping with the families wishes, cremation is planned, with no service to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted to the care of these arrangements.
Memorials may be made in Rebecca’s honor through the funeral home for expenses.
