Regina Ray (Johnson) Reber

Regina Ray Reber, 71, of North Vernon, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family at 11:58 p.m. on Thursday, September 8th, 2022.

Born on December 28th, 1950, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rosemary Johnson.

On December 3rd, 1977, she married the love of her life, Clyde Reber; he survives.

She worked with her family at the Midway Restaurant in North Vernon. After that she worked for the Indianapolis Star as a paper carrier for over 20 years. She then worked at Jennings Healthcare nursing home in dietary where she retired from. She enjoyed going camping, fishing, spending time with family especially her only grandson, William Robert.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Maranda) Reber of North Vernon; brother, Duane “Darrell” Johnson of Lampasas, Texas; sister, Paulette Blair of Columbus; grandson, William Reber of North Vernon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert “Jay” Johnson.

A funeral service for Regina will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, September 12th, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, September 11th, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will follow in the Westport Cemetery in Westport.

Memorials may be made in honor of Regina through the funeral home for a trust being established for her grandson, William Reber.
