Richard Lee “Dick” “Woody” Winget, 77, of Scipio, passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at his residence.

Richard was born on October 5, 1943. He married Sandra Trisler in 1986 in Catalina, Tennessee; she survives.

Richard was a graduate of Carmel High School and served in the U. S. Navy. He worked in construction and sold firewood. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting and going to the boat.

Surviving with his wife, Sandra, are son, Tony (Melissa) Winget of Brownstown; daughters, Tracy (Richard) Todd of Indianapolis and Katherine Romero of North Vernon and ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shawn Trisler; daughter Alicia Andrews; brothers, Carl, Ronald, and John Winget; and sister, Dorothy Winget.

A visitation will be held for Richard on Friday, April 9, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made in honor of Richard through the funeral home to help with expenses.
