Ricky Lee Baker, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at IU Health Methodist in Indianapolis.
Born June 22, 1961, in Indianapolis, the son of Patricia Ann (Fischer) Baker and the late William Franklin Baker.
Ricky was a 1979 graduate of Brownsburg High School in Brownsburg. He worked as a finish grinder for Eagle Magnetic in Indianapolis for 15 years before retiring, he had previously worked for Roto-Rooter as an excavation manager and plumber for eight years. Ricky enjoyed target shooting, fishing, archery, hot rods, making jewelry. He also enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator his call sign was N9EHQ, he also was a former storm chaser.
Survivors include his son, Adrian Baker of Brownsburg; his mother, Patricia Baker of Nashville; sisters, Sharon Carter of Shelbyville and Tina Parks of Nashville; and grandson, Atlas Lee Baker of Brownsburg.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, William Michael Baker.
A celebration of life for Ricky will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Rudicel Family Event Center, 408 South State Street, North Vernon. The visitation with family and friends will be on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Rudicel Family Event Center. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Ricky through the funeral home for the American Heart Association.
