Ricky "Rick" Lynn Marksberry

Ricky Lynn “Rick” Marksberry, 54, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:44 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at his residence.

Rick was born June 23, 1967, in Seymour, he was the son of Cecil and Naomi Ruth (Rockey) Marksberry. He married Diana Turner on July 3, 1995, at Muscatatuck Hall.

Rick worked for 33 years for the City of North Vernon as the Street Commissioner. He enjoyed flying model airplanes, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, go carts, golf carts and four-wheelers and RC cars.

Surviving with his wife Diana, are his son, Ricky (Shaston) Marksberry II of North Vernon; his daughters, Erica Marksberry of North Vernon and Shannon Marksberry of Greensburg; brothers, Melvin (Angie) Marksberry, Larry (Sherry) Marksberry and David (Brenda) Rockey, all of North Vernon; sisters, Peggy Meadows of Brownstown and Susie (Ralph) Gains of North Vernon; grandchildren, Karmyn Jolynn Hale and Camden Lee Vance, both of Greensburg; sister-in-law, Pam Deaton of Versailles; mother-in-law, Brenda Turner of North Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Rosemary Wilkerson and Ruth Ann Marksberry; and brother-in-law, Tim Turner.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials in honor of Rick may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
