Robert Lee "Robbie" Brooks Jr.

Robert Lee “Robbie” Brooks Jr, 34, of Shelbyville, passed away at 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, at St. Franciscan Health in Greenwood. Born January 20th, 1992, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Peggy Arthur.

Robert worked as a concrete pump operator for many years working for Lee’s Ready Mix for four years, George’s in Indianapolis, and Extreme Pumping in Texas. He was a member of Souls Harbour Church in Shelbyville and a former member of the Scipio Geneva Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking, watching television, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and his two cats, Chole and Colt.

Survivors include his wife, Sueeny Brooks of Shelbyville; his children, Robert Brooks III and Elizabeth Brooks, both of North Vernon; stepchildren, Kayla Rodrigez, Charlee Rodrigez, and Nicole Rodigez, all of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his mother in November of 2025.

In keeping with his wishes cremation is planned with a private celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials in honor of Robert may be made through the funeral home to assist with the funeral arrangements.
