Ronald Roy "Ron" Rea

Ronald Roy “Ron” Rea, 76, of North Vernon, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at his residence.

Born November 10, 1945, in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Gerald and Martha (Monroe) Rea.

Ron was a high school graduate and worked as a swing man/testing for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus. He enjoyed working on computers, being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his son, Ronald Roy (Brittany) Rea II of Dublin, Virginia; his daughter, Christine (Tim) McFall of Scipio; brothers, Allen (Linda) Rea of Columbus and Tommy Rea of Madison; sister, Diann (Ronnie) Collins of Madison; grandchildren, Trista Foster, Danielle Law, Lexi McFall, Joseph McFall, Jacob Rea, Macy Williams, and Alex Rea; step-grandchildren, Shawn Peacock and Lily Peacock; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Raymond, and Gerald Rea Jr.

A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Browns Corner Church, 5015 N. County Road 900 W. Scipio, Indiana 47273 with Pastor Jim Weld officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Service.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
