Rose Ann Rudicel, 75, of North Vernon, passed away on September 29, 2022, at her residence.
Born June 11, 1947, in North Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Lee and Betty Jean (Hyman) Fields.
Rose Ann retired from Shur Shop in North Vernon and was active with her grandchildren’s sports and events following her retirement. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Jennings County and enjoyed flowers, gardening, feeding birds, ceramics, and playing cards and Bingo. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Greg (Ronda) Smith and Jerry (Viola) Smith, both of North Vernon; daughters, Kim (Shawn) Kostek, Tina Stout, and Debbie Smith, all of North Vernon; a bonus daughter, Kim Perry of Columbus; sister, Wanda (Steve) Brooks of North Vernon; grandchildren, Justin Smith, Emily Smith, Megan (Doug) Brown, Sarah (Chad) Thomas, Shelby Kostek, Jessica Kostek, Sommer Branam, and Brody Smith, all of North Vernon, Becky (Michael) Murphy of Columbus, Dustin Smith of Greensburg, and Dylan Stout of Brownstown; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Andrew Branam.
A memorial service for Rose Ann will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to help with expenses.
