Ruby Francis Dudgeon, 89, of North Vernon, passed away on January 30, 2021, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Born November 14, 1931, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Forrest and Mary Lou (Page) St. Clair. She married James Thomas Dudgeon on March 13, 1948, in Lebanon, Kentucky; he preceded her in death on December 20, 2007.
Ruby was a wonderful soul and a wonderful mother. She was also like a mother to her siblings.
Ruby was a homemaker, who enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, and attending church. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, Indiana where she taught Sunday school.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Terry Joe Dudgeon of North Vernon and James Steven (Donna) Dudgeon of Indianapolis; brother, Billie Dean St. Clair of Campbellsville, Kentucky; sisters, Youla Mae (Conley Gay) Caudill of Taylorsville, Indiana, Linda Kay Harrington, and Phyllis (Bennie) Humphress, both of Campbellsville, Kentucky; and grandchild, Gabrielle Dudgeon (Andrew) Satornino of Lexington, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Gary Wayne Dudgeon; brother, William “Wayne” St. Clair; sisters, Judy Townsend, Betty Jean Kirtley and Carolyn Hilgemeier.
A private funeral service for Ruby will be conducted at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service, in North Vernon, Indiana. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery, in Vernon, Indiana.
Memorials may be made in honor of Ruby through the funeral home to the American Kidney Foundation.
