Sally Lee (Lane) Langtange

Sally Lee Langtange, 72, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Trama Center in Indianapolis.

Born February 7, 1951, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Charles and Marie (Zornes) Lane. She married Peter “Pete” Langtange Sr. on December 31, 1995, in Jennings County; he survives.

Sally worked the assembly line for Hilex (Sunoco Plant) in North Vernon and was a homemaker and housewife. She was a member of the Alert Methodist Church. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family, watching movies with her husband, and Elvis Presley. She loved life.

Surviving with her husband Pete, are her sons, Kirk Barnes of Westport, Jason (Mary) Langtange of Ochlocknee, Georgia, Peter (Diane) Langtange Jr., and Barry (Kim) Langtange, both of North Vernon; daughters, Tina Rafferty of Dayton, Ohio and Karen (Chris) Tillberg of Thomasville, Georgia; brother, Charles “Benny” Lane; sisters, Sandy (Russell) McCaslin, of Shelbyville,  Lisa (Phil) Buster, of Columbus, and Kathy (Mike) Webb and Lori (Bruce) Williams, both of North Vernon; grandchildren, David Rafferty, Chase Tillberg, Lauren Langtange, Allen Chastain, Cody Kincaid, Shelby Langtange and Christy Langtange; great-grandchildren, Morgan Chastain, Parker Kincaid and Gunner Langtange; several nieces and nephews; her cat, Ms. Kitty and her dog, Marley..

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Langtange, brother, Roger Lane; and sister, Lois Lane.

Funeral Service for Sally will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Jennings County.

Memorials in honor of Sally may be made through the funeral home to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
