Sandra Jean (Lucas) Hauersperger

Sandra Jean Hauersperger, 65, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:41 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born May 19, 1953, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, Mrs. Hauersperger was the daughter of the late Beryl and Wilma (Everidge) Lucas. She married Terry Hauersperger on December 31, 1987, in Deputy; he survives.

Mrs. Hauersperger was a 1971 graduate of Jennings County High School and worked as the election clerk for eight years and former secretary for Hoosier Electric. She was a former member of Open Door Baptist Church in Deputy and enjoyed shopping, NASCAR, University of Kentucky UK Fan and spending time with the grandkids.  

Surviving with her husband, Terry are sons, Tony (Kim) Hendrix of Plainfield and Joey (Terry) Hendrix of Seymour; her daughter, Stacey (Bill) McRoberts of North Vernon; brother, Mike (Lynn) Lucas of Madison; sister, Tammy (Scott) Whipker of Jonesville; grandchildren, Andy Johnson and Dillon McRoberts both of North Vernon and Hadlee Hendrix of Elizabethtown; great-grandchildren, Krystal Johnson and Tara Johnson both of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Richard Burcham officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Diabetes Association.
