Sandra Kay Hunt, 63, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:50 p.m. on February 2, 2021, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
Born October 3, 1957, in Scottsburg, she was the daughter of Eugene Foster and Wanda June (McGillem) Helmerich. She married Kurt D. Hunt on March 19, 1988, in Franklin; he survives.
Sandra graduated from Jennings County High School in 1975. She was a self-employed bookkeeper and was an assistant for Attorneys Gene Arnholt, Jewell Crump & Angermeier and for the Jennings County Prosecutor. She was a member of Christ Way Christian Church, Dela Theta Tau Sorority, and the Indiana Rural Youth Association. Sandra enjoyed square dancing, gardening, fine dining, traveling, and, when she was younger, Taekwondo.
She is survived by her husband and her sons, Sam Hunt of Indianapolis and Bradley Hunt of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sharon Blackerby.
In keeping with her family’s wishes, cremation is planned, with no services to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon was entrusted to the care of these arrangements.
