Sharon Lee Case Short Willis

Sharon Lee Case Short Willis, 76, of Greenwood, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Born February 14, 1948, in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison and Betty (Clements) Case. She married James Short who preceded her in death and Dink Willis, who also preceded her in death.

Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Deputy High School. She worked as a pharmacy assistant in Mt. View, Arkansas, a legal assistant for Roger Brown Attorney, and CSL inventory control for seven years. Sharon was of the catholic faith and enjoyed reading, traveling, flowers, DIY projects and crafts, swimming with her grandkids, hosting people. She was a very kind and giving person.

Survivors include her sons, Glyndon “Buddy: Short of Bloomington, Lonnie (Melissa) Short of North Vernon, Terry (Carla) Short of Dansville, Jeff (Sandy) Short of Celina, Tennessee, Jamie Short of Indianapolis, and Warren Ong of Rhode Island; daughters, Victoria “Vicki” (James) Driver of North Vernon and Amy (Scott) Lashbrook of Franklin; husband, Barry Ong of Greenwood; brother, Donald Case of Deputy; several grandchildren and bonus grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and bonus great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; sons, Calvin and Richie Short; brothers, Larry, Duane, Joe and Thomas “Dale” Case; and sisters, Betty Jean Williams and Sondra Walp.

A funeral service for Sharon will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Jim Terry officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in the Carmel Cemetery in Deputy.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Sharon to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
