Sheila Ann Adams, 68, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at her residence.
Born August 29, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Sadie (McFarland) Slone. She married Dennis Adams on March 28, 1985, in Florida; he survives.
Sheila was a bartender for 20 years at Red Fish Bay Port Inn in Florida and for 20 years at the North Vernon Walmart Store before retiring; she was known as the “Honey Lady”. She enjoyed gardening, canning, camping and fishing.
Surviving with her husband Dennis, is her sons, Robert (Brittany) Watkins of Homosassa, Florida, Dennis (Sarah) Adams Jr of Erlinger, Kentucky, Jonathan Adams of Denver, Colorado, and Shane Adams of Brownstown; daughters, Samantha (Dustin Fields) Adams of North Vernon and Crystal (Eric Lavin) Napp of Brooksville, Florida; stepchildren, Kyle (Samantha) Adams of Brooksville, Florida and Kasandra Adams of Wesley Chapel, Florida; brother, Danny Sellers of Kokomo; sisters, Sandra Shields of Homosassa, Florida, Karen Harding of Weeki Wachee, Florida, and Helen; grandchildren, Tanner Lawson and Eleanor Fields, both of North Vernon, Destanie Fields of Indiana, and several other beloved grandchildren from Florida; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Junie Slone; and sister, Barbie Slone.
In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned with service to be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Sheila through the funeral home for expenses.
