Sheila Jane (Beasley) Galliher Obituary 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Jane (Beasley) Galliher on April 5th, 2026.  She passed at her residence, surrounded by loved ones. Sheila was born in Columbus, IN on August 7, 1941, to Harvey Hollis “Dick” Beasley and Eugenia Inez Gividen Beasley. Sheila was a 1959 graduate of North Vernon High School and married Jack Galliher later that year, becoming parents to their four children. 

Sheila spent her lifetime living in various areas of Jennings County, IN, spending the last several years living in Butlerville. Besides spending time with her loved ones, she got much joy by listening to old country music, dancing and working in her flowers and yard.  She was also passionate about spending time with family, friends and making friends wherever she went. 

She leaves behind her children Andra (Jim) Patton, Paula (Tom Bresnahan) LaRoche, Todd (Janet) Galliher, and Heather (Brian) Tempest; siblings Beverly D’Heur and Paul McGovern; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and Jack Galliher, father of her children. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Barbara Carnes, James McGovern, and Sondra Heckler; and late husbands, Otto Hendricks and Robert Durham. 

The funeral for Sheila will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. The visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made in honor of Sheila through the funeral home to Schneck Hospice or funeral expenses..
