Sheila Kay (Belding) Heath

Sheila Kay Heath, 86, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:25 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at her residence.

Born August 26, 1939, in Seymour, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Lucille V. (Olmstead) Belding. She married Jack Heath on June 29, 1996, in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on February 6, 2005.

Sheila was a 1957 graduate of North Vernon High School and worked for First Financial Bank in North Vernon from May 1999 until she retired on December 31, 2015. She had previously worked as a manager for Ponderosa in North Vernon from 1996-1997. Sheila was an assistant to chairman for the Republican State Committee in Indianapolis and later as their finance director from 1987-1995. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in North Vernon. Sheila enjoyed playing bridge, euchre, 5 crowns, her dog Chloe and was an Elvis fan.

Survivors include her sons, Stephen Mowery of Anderson and Andrew Mowery of North Vernon; her companion, James Feaster of North Vernon; grandchildren, Matthew, Heather, Ashley, Emily and Belinda; and great-grandchildren, Lynnyxx, Meagan, Tynlee and Ella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Paul & James Belding; sisters, Donna J. Thompson and Barbara Moore; stepfather, Gordon Shepherd; and niece, Carla Belding.

A funeral service for Sheila will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made in honor of Sheila to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
