Sheldon Allen Whitis

Sheldon Allen Whitis, 28, of Deputy, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at his home.

Born February 20, 1992, in Fremont, California, he was the son of Stewart Schuetz and Hope (Whitis) Davis.

Sheldon was a graduate of Jennings County High School and was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, being outside in the woods, music, motorcycles, and cars. Sheldon especially enjoyed time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Stewart Schuetz and Hope Davis; sons, Ellis Sears of North Vernon, James Thomas and Jace Xander, both of Deputy; daughter, Alanna Harrison-Whitis of Anderson; brothers, Arthur Burt, Matthew Burt, Nicholas Lovingood and Brad Lovingood, all of North Vernon; sister, Shari (John) Black of North Vernon; grandparents, Ellis Whitis and Sherry Whitis, both of North Vernon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Schuetz grandparents, and brothers, Jeff and Chuck Lovingood and Andy Johnson.

Visitation for Sheldon will be 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Sheldon for expenses.
