Sheree Corum Obituary

Sheree Elaine Corum, 63, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:06 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born June 8, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Glenn E. and Kathryn (Cox) Monroe. She married Kimble “Wayne” Corum on November 4, 1982, in Toledo, Ohio; he preceded her in death.

Sheree was a graduate of Waite High School in Toledo, Ohio. She worked as a full time Nana, had worked as a CNA in Toledo, Ohio, and North Vernon for 30 plus years with several hospitals, and at McDonalds in North Vernon. She was a member of First Baptist Church in North Vernon. Sheree enjoyed drawing, crafts, card games, watching “Old Time Classics” movies, writing poetry, and unique jewelry. She was an avid reader especially of poetry and a talented cook. Sheree mostly loved taking care of people and nature.

Sheree is survived by her boyfriend, Daniel Holland of North Vernon; her son, Cody (Hesper) Corum of North Vernon; her daughters, Laura (Adam) McRoberts of North Vernon and Sarah Gonzalez of Madison; son-in-law, Michael Carmichael of Butlerville; brothers, Dennis (Cherie) Monroe of Burgoon, Ohio, and Kenneth (Janet) Wilbur of Oregon, Ohio; grandchildren, Brendan Sharp, Kenntlee Henry, Gabriella Isenhower, Allison Lester, Emily Bannister, Lily Carmichael, Kathryn Carmichael, Tirzah Nogueras, Liam McRoberts, and Kaelani Corum; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Jenniffer Carmichael; brother, Gregory “Gene” Monroe; sister, Patricia Monroe; and grandson, Lelan Eric Sharp.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes cremation is planned with celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
