Stanley Eric Reeves

Stanley Eric Reeves, 62, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:11 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born December 31, 1958, in Columbus, he was the son of Elihue and Bertha (Pittman) Reeves. He married Sandra “Denice” Edwards on May 28, 1999, in Columbus, she preceded him in death on March 24, 2017.

Stanley worked for Overhead Door Company in Columbus for 25 years before retiring in 2020. He enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his daughters,  Frantisca Del PaPa of North Vernon, Brandale Combest of Madison, Jamie Anderson of Columbus, Stephanie (Troy) Horstman of Austin,  Alicia Reeves of Scottsburg and Erika Mae (Joseph) McKinley of Salem; grandchildren, Patience Adams, Serenity Del PaPa, Justice Del PaPa and Faith Del PaPa,  all of North Vernon, Jayden Parrigan,  Jazmyne Parrigan, and Jerrica Anderson, all of Columbus, Amos Combest and Shelby Combest, both of Madison, Katie Horstman and Hannah Tatlock, both of Austin, Ian Tatlock of Crothersville, Alexis Reardon, Quintin McKinley, Ellison McKinley, Dawson McKinley and Greycen McKinley, all  of Salem; brother, Jerry (Judy) Reeves, Ronnie (Anita) Reeves, and Paul Reeves, all of Columbus, and Roger Reeves of North Vernon; sisters, Brenda (Robert) Clerkin of Nashville and Judy (Joe) Fields of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, and brothers, Tom (Jane) Reeves and Allen Reeves.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Stanley to help with expenses.
