Stephan Leo “Steve” Lux, 64, of Scipio, passed away at 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Born January 6, 1961, in Shelbyville, the son of the late Stephen William Lux and Rena Faye (Johnson) Jenkins.
Steve was a graduate of Waldron High School in 1979. He was a self-employed construction worker. Steve was a member of the AmVets and Moose Lodge in North Vernon. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, bonfires and being outdoors. Steve was a loving father, grandfather, brother and a big family man. He loved his hair and had to always have it perfect. Steve loved jamming to hair nation bands.
Survivors include his daughter, Casandra Hall of Scipio; grandchildren, Rieanna Lynn Hall of Scipio, and Angelina Nichole Gaines of Shelbyville; significant other, Donna Napier; brother, Richard Lee Lux of Navarre, Florida; sister, Kimberly Kay (Charles) Lux Watola of Thomaston, Georgia; nephews and nieces, Sean Michael Ford, Kileen Alexis Ford, Nick Lux, Zach Lux, Erin Lux, Devin Lux, Charles Eric Watola Jr. and Zachary Andrew Watola; ; and great niece and nephew, Delilah Annabelle and Weston Thomas..
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Tiffany Nicole Carlo.
In keeping with his and his family’s wishes cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held at a later time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials in honor of Steve may be made through the funeral home for help with expenses.
