Steve E. “Frog” Jarrell, 59, of, Madison, passed away at 6:53 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at King’s Daughter’s Health-Hospital in Madison.
Born November 13, 1961, in Seymour, he was the son of the late James E. and Ethel Louise (Craft) Jarrell.
Steven was a 1979 graduate of Jennings County High School and worked as a truck driver for H&L Tree Service for two years and had worked for Jim Beeman Lumber for several years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his fiancé, Becky Norsworthy of Madison; sons, Michael Paul (Sherry) Jarrell of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Nathan E. (Chelsea) Jarrell of Columbus, Andrew Jarrell, Caleb Jarrell and Matthew Jarrell, all of North Vernon; daughters, Olivia Jarrell of Westport and Alessa Jarrell of North Vernon; brother, Curt (Jenny) Jarrell of North Vernon; sisters, Sharon (Curtis) Lee, Teresa (Jim) Beeman, and Joanna Chastain, all of North Vernon and Donna (Emmett) Fields of Ohio; grandchildren, Victor Jarrell of North Vernon, Bobby Eder and Easton Jarrell, both of Columbus, Becky Burge of Commiskey, Jazlynn Jarrell of Westport, and Mikaiden Jarrell of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Jarrell; mother and stepfather, Ethel and Denver Pratt; and his daughter, Diane Jarrell.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon, with the Rev. Jerry Maynard officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Jennings County.
Memorials may be in honor of Steven through the funeral home for expenses.
