Steven B. Halfacre

Steven B. Halfacre, 60, of Deputy, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Norton King’s Daughter’s Health Hospital in Madison.

Born March 23, 1964, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Edward and Edra (Bowling) Halfacre.

Steven was a handyman who enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his brother, Billy (Rhea) Halfacre of North Vernon; sisters, Janice (Steve) Day of Deputy and Theresa (Matt) Hotek of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Shawn Halfacre of North Vernon and Wanda Halfacre of Deputy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Daniel and Bobby Halfacre.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, cremation is planned with private burial in the Lick Branch Cemetery in Deputy. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials in honor of Steven may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
