Susan Ann (Tungett) Jones

Susan Ann Jones, 71, of Columbus, passed away at 1:29 a.m. on May 26, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born November 12, 1952, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Weber) Tungett.

Susan was a 1971 graduate of Edinburgh High School in Edinburgh. She worked for Subway at Camp Atterbury for eight years and had previously worked for Bartholomew County Schools as a custodian and home health care. She retired from NAC. Susan enjoyed going to yard sales, garage sales and Goodwill, drawing, crafts, gardening, cooking, singing, dancing, listening to music and playing guitar.

Survivors include her son, Michael (Roxanna) Jones of Columbus; her daughter, Lillie (Mark Rice) Jones of Commiskey; brother, Michael (Petra) Tungett of Columbus; sister, Debbie Tungett of Columbus; and grandchild, Annamay Jones of Brown County.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Anna Michelle Jones; stillborn son; and brother, Ricky Tungett.

A funeral service for Susan will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. A visitation for Susan will be held on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made in honor of Susan through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
