Thomas Edward "Tommy" Aumann Jr.

Thomas Edward “Tommy” Aumann Jr., 48, of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at the St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born October 20, 1972, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he was the son of Thomas Edward Aumann Sr. and Joanna Lynn Long Aumann. He married Shirley “Sammie Jo” (Lawson) Aumann; she survives.

Tommy worked for Rose Acre Farms from 2008 until 2020. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness. Tommy enjoyed fishing, bowling, shooting pool, playing the drums, and spending time with his friends.

Surviving with his wife, Shirley “Sammi Jo” Aumann of North Vernon; sons, Thomas Edward (Hanna) Aumann III and Jeremy Thomas Aumann, both of North Vernon, and Louis Aumann of Indianapolis; parents, Thomas Edward Aumann Sr. of Pennsylvania, and Joan (Ronald King) Aumann of Indianapolis; brothers, Brian Smith and Mike Smith, both of Indianapolis; sister, Theresa (Joe) Wentworth of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Talia Aumann and Izabella Aumann, both of North Vernon, and Jazmin Aumann of Indianapolis; and his father and mother in-law, Joseph A. and Shirley J. Lawson of North Vernon. .

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Scott Thomas Aumann.

Cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Tommy through the funeral home to help with expenses.
