Thomas Michael "Mike" Mars

Thomas Michael “Mike” Mars, 74, of Madison, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, at his residence.

Born July 12, 1949, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Louise (Purdue) Mars.

Mike enjoyed collecting Coke memorabilia, fishing, and NASCAR.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Esker Moberly of North Vernon; nephews, Thomas (Kristy) Moberly, Bill Moberly, and Matthew Moberly, all of North Vernon; niece, Tonya Meyers of North Vernon; and brother-in-law, Dallas Cherry of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tony Mars; sister, Kathy Cherry; nephew, Leroy Cherry; and niece, Jeanette Wilson.

A visitation for Mike will be conducted from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. May 9, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. A burial will be held at a later date in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mike through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
