Timothy James "Tim" Martin

Timothy James “Tim” Martin, 68, of Scipio, passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born December 12, 1955, in Gary, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Wenski) Martin. He married Linda Sharp on October 19, 1979, in Greenwood; she survives.

Tim was a 1973 graduate of Andrean High School in Merrillville and worked as a counselor for Cornerstone in Indianapolis. He was a member of Community Christian Church in Columbus. Tim enjoyed attending church and church activities, gardening, cutting wood, fishing, hunting, going camping and just being outdoors.

Surviving with his wife, Linda; are his sons, Jonathan Martin of Clarksville, Jason (Gina) Martin of Columbus and Jesse Martin of Scipio; brothers, Bobby (Andrea) Martin, Jimmy (Renee) Martin, Tom Martin, and Steve Martin; sisters, Debbie (James) Cooper and Beth (Will) Robbins; grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Joel Martin and Grace Martin, all of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Tim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Sam Kuehn officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A burial will follow in the Reddington Cemetery in Reddington.

Memorials may be made in honor of Tim through the funeral home for expenses.
