Tina Denise Hammond

Tina Denise Hammond, 56, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at her residence.

Born February 26, 1964, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Jack L. and Grace (Brooks) Hammond.

Tina graduated from Jennings County High School in 1982 and attended Ivy Tech for computer programming. She worked for Lowes Distribution Center in North Vernon for five years in shipping and receiving, in catering for the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, for the Swifty Gas Station in North Vernon, the Eagles Club, and the Silver Dollar Saloon. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, singing, going to concerts, flowers, and animals.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina (Joseph Morgan) Hammond of Columbus; brothers, Dennis (Rebecca) Hammond of Scipio and Paul (Jack McIntosh Jr.) Hammond of Madison; uncle, James (Elizabeth) Hammond of Scipio; and aunt, Rosemary Meeks of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, private services are to be held with burial in the Vernon Cemetery. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted to the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in Tina’s honor through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
