Trudy Charlene (Bowling) Shouse

Trudy Charlene Shouse, 69, of North Vernon, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at her home.

Born June 30, 1950 in Seymour, Trudy was the daughter of the late Jennings Bryan Bowling and Ruth Anna Wilber Bowling. She married Carlos Shouse on July 6, 2003 at the Grayford Road Church of God in North Vernon; who preceded her in death on December 25, 2012.

Trudy attended Hayden High School and graduated from North Vernon High School in 1968 and had worked for Arrow Consultation Services in Seymour for 9 years as a Direct Skilled Professional and at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy in North Vernon for 10 years. She enjoyed painting crafts and ceramics. She also loved to cook, and was famous for her hard rock candy, fudge, and beef jerky.

Survivors include her son, Tommy (Jen) Rayburn of North Vernon; daughters Amanda (Zach) Johnson and Lisa Rayburn both of North Vernon; mother Ruth Anna Bowling of North Vernon; brother Ken (Mary) Bowling of Columbus; sisters Beverly (Mike) Burbrink of Seymour and Vickie Fish of North Vernon; grandchildren Alexandria Johnson, Cheyenne Davidson, Mackinzey Davidson, Joshua Rayburn, Madison Rayburn, Jacob (Kenneth McGraw) Ramey, and Clayten (Kathleen) Lacey all of North Vernon; and great grandchild Ginevira Lacey of North Vernon.

Trudy was preceded in death by her father Jennings Bryan Bowling, and husband Carlos Shouse.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Don Morris officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given through the funeral home to help with expenses.
