Veronda Elva (Palmer) Gabbard

Veronda Elva Gabbard, 59, of Butlerville, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent in Carmel.

Born August 29, 1961, in Rushville, she was the daughter of David and Wanda (Hammons) Palmer. She married Delbert Gabbard on December 1, 1984, in Jennings County; he survives.

Veronda was a homemaker and had also worked in factories and restaurants. She enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping, loved animals, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband, Delbert, are sons, Anthony (Angela) Palmer of Greensburg, Jason DeWitt and Preston Gabbard, both of Butlerville; daughter, Akeila (Daniel) Plumm of Butlerville; brother, David Palmer of Kentucky; sisters, Anette Palmer and Michelle Gatewood, both of North Vernon; and grandchildren, Jordan Paige Jones of Columbus, Isabella Plumm and Allexandria Plumm, both of Butlerville, and Willow Gabbard of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Robert Palmer.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned, with no services planned at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service was entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of Veronda through the funeral home for expenses.
