Vicki Lynn (Yeager) Hartwell

Vicki Lynn Hartwell, 66, of Butlerville, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born January 2, 1955, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Glenda (Poynter) Green and the late Marion Yeager. She married Harold Hartwell on June 23, 1973, in North Vernon; he survives.

Vicki graduated from Jennings County High School in 1973 and graduated with an associate degree in drafting from Ivy Tech in 1987. She worked as a QMA for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville for 25 years before its closing. Vicki also worked in home healthcare and for NTN Driveshaft in Walesboro. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Hartwell of Butlerville; son, John (Christal) Hartwell of Scipio; daughters, Molita Martinez of Scipio and Patricia (Enrique “Ricky”) Gomez Jimenez of North Vernon; mother, Glenda Green of Madison; brother, Ernie (Pat) Yeager of Morrisville; sisters, Cindy (Al) Reynolds and Missie Miller, both of Madison, Kim (Ray) Duesler of Bedford, and Shelly (Wes) Hines of Scipio; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A graveside funeral service for Vicki will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon with Jay Yeager officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Vicki’s honor through the funeral home to help with expenses.
