Vickie J. Fish, 71, of Columbus, passed away at 6:05 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.
Born April 2, 1952, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Jennings Bryan and Ruth Anna (Wilbur) Bowling.
Vickie was a graduate of Jennings County High School and received her associate degree in accounting from Ivy Tech Community College. She had worked for Cummins Engine Company and the former Regal Rugs, and she retired in June of 2012 from ResCare. Vickie was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Vernon. She enjoyed painting, silk floral arranging, and teaching ceramics.
Survivors include her mother, Ruth Anna (Wilbur) Bowling; stepchildren, William Fish, Carolyn Sawyer, Kim Skaggs, Patty (Emrie) Roll, and Loretta Fish; brother, Kenneth (Mary) Bowling; sister, Beverly (Mike) Burbrink; brothers-in-laws, Jack (Joan) Fish, Reggie (Debbie) Fish, and David Fish; 27 nieces and nephews; and 12 step-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by, her father; sisters, Trudy Bowling Shouse; stepson, Mark Fish; brothers-in-law, Carlos Shouse, Mike Fish, and Jerry Fish; and niece, Lisa Rayburn.
A funeral for Vickie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Al Davisson officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date in Bear Creek Tri County Cemetery in Jennings County.
Memorials may be made in honor of Vickie through the funeral home to the First Baptist Church.
