William Wayne “Bill” Gann, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on April 10, 1947, he was the son of Hazel and Oras Gann, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Dean Gann.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. His dedication and service will always be remembered. Beyond his military service, Bill dedicated his life to his family and his career as a professional truck driver. For many years, he traveled the open roads, demonstrating his skill and dedication.
On November 1, 1975, he married Pat Gann. Together, they shared nearly 50 years of love and devotion and built a beautiful family. He was a devoted father to Mathew (Rose) Gann, Sharon (Joe) Bowers, and Sherrie (Josh) Samek. He was also a cherished grandfather to Monique Wheeler, Kayela Holstege, Nicholas Gann, Zoe Ellison, Chyenne Bowers, Jocelyn Reynolds, Aden Simler, and Bailey Reynolds, and a great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren. He loved his family dearly and cherished the time they spent together. Bill was a loving brother to Dennis (Nanette) Gann, Leonard (Joni) Gann, Rebecca (Steve) Jones and Mary (Rick) Vander Mellen. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will be holding a private celebration of Bill’s life.
