William Watson Webb Sr, 91, of North Vernon passed away on Friday, April 24th, 2026, in North Vernon.
Born January 21st, 1935, in McRoberts, Ky, he was the son of the late David B. Webb and Malinda E. Vanover Webb. He married Lulu Belle Zornes on December 1, 1951, in Carrollton Ky, she preceded him in death on January 9th, 2008.
William was employed at Arvins in Columbus, Indiana from 1956 until 1995, he also ran the North Vernon Airport from 1958 until 1970. William was a member of NRA and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, doing yard work, mushroom hunting, being outdoors and flying.
Surviving is his daughter Vicki Webb, North Vernon, Caretaker Beth Robbins, North Vernon; Grandchildren Amanda Webb, North Vernon, Billy Webb, Colorado, Ryan (Tim Green) Webb, Columbus, and Nathan (Becka) Webb, Grammer. Great Grandchildren, William Nicholas Webb, North Vernon, Lulu Belle Webb and Jonathan Webb both of Grammer.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Sons William Webb Jr and Wesley Webb, Brothers Herbert P Webb and David Webb, and his sister Sonya Craft.
The funeral service for William will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday April 28th, 2026, at Dove, Sharp, and Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Pastor Richard Burcham. The visitation for family and friends will be on Monday April 27th, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials in honor of William may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
