William B. “Willie” Bush Jr., 67, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
Born May 3, 1958, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, he was the son of the late William Bush Sr. and Martha Mae (Drummer) Bush.
He was a lifelong painter and a former member of First Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He enjoyed playing and watching basketball, singing, and drawing.
Survivors include his fiancé, Galene Nay of North Vernon; his sons, Teddy Bush, Carlos Bush, and Marcus Bush, all of Memphis, Tennessee, Michael (Michaela) Stephens of Columbus, James Stephens of Camby, and Trevor (Janice) Visger of Twin Lakes, Michigan; his daughters, Darion (Jordon) Allen of Scottsburg, Kayla Bush of Memphis, Tennessee, and Jackie Stephens of Big Rapids, Michigan; brothers, Edward Drummer and Forrest (Glenda) Bush, both of Memphis, Tennessee; sisters, Rose Sanders and Charlotte Parnelle, both of Memphis, Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Sharon Bush, Martha Bush, and Dorothy Bush.
A private family viewing was held at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials in honor of Willie may be made through the funeral home for funeral expenses.
