William "Bill" Schafstall Obituary

William Joseph “Bill” Schafstall, 72, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at his residence.

Born July 10, 1949, in Seymour, he was the son of Leroy M. Schafstall and Martha I. (Losey) Keal.

Bill attended Knights Town Soldiers Children’s Home and worked in tool and die for Active Products for 30 plus years in Marion. He was a former member of Christ Baptist Church in North Vernon. Bill enjoyed hunting, target shooting, cutting firewood, fishing, and watching television.

Survivors include his children, William Joseph Livesay of Greenfield, and Scott Livesay and Brian Livesay, both of Indianapolis; twin brother, Robert “Bob” (Sheila) Schafstall of North Vernon; and sister, Carol Pearson of Seymour.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeremy Schafstall; brother, Donald Schafstall; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Pearson.

Private family visitation will be held at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Bill through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
