William "Bill" James Stowe

William “Bill” James Stowe, 48, of North Vernon passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his residence.

Born April 23, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Patricia Trautwein and the late David Stowe. Bill was a 1996 graduate of Jennings County High School.

Bill worked as a manager for Wendy’s in North Vernon for 20 years. He was of the Pagan belief. Bill enjoyed writing poetry and stories.

Survivors include his son, Jude Stowe of Butlerville; his mother, Patricia Johnson of North Vernon; nephew, Joshua Johnson of North Vernon; and step-brother, Jeremiah (Eden) Johnson of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Stowe.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Jennings County Co-Ordinating Council Food Pantry in North Vernon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
