William Jesse "Billy" Michael

William Jesse “Billy” Michael, 54, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in North Vernon.

Born September 8, 1970, in Bartholomew County, he was the son of the late John “Rebe” and Mae (Cobb) Michael.

Billy worked for Arvins, now Faurecia in Columbus where he was a welder and forklift operator. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Bierlein; companion, Lora Pendleton; brothers, Ronald Michael, Dennis Michael, and Johnny Michael; sisters, Lori Michael, Christine Michael, Shirely Michael, and Donna Michael; grandchildren, Michael Bierlein, Breana Bierlein, Tyler Bierlein; Lora’s children, Aaron Pendleton. Heather Peck and Josh Morris; Lora’s grandchildren, Bentley Lockard, Kami Peck, Charlotte Peck, Kaylynn Morris, Annie Morris, and Richie Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Travis, Steven, James “Jimbo”, Mark “Dogg”, Larry and Jerry Michael.

A celebration of life for Billy will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Rudicel Family Event Center, 408 South State Street, North Vernon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Billy through the funeral home for funeral expenses.
