I am saddened to hear of the passing of a truly kind and sweet Lady. I'm sorry I couldn't pay my respects in person. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. She was truly a Lady!!

Sorry to hear we have a lost another wonderful person. Rick and I have so many wonderful memories when we were first married and all the lovely people at Presbytery Church took us under their wings. Your mom and dad were there every Sunday. Prayers to all the Eatons.

We have heard of the passing of Nola and want to relay our deepest sympathies.
Nola and Marilyn met as students at IU and continued their friendship thru decades of personal changes, marriage, children, jobs and retirement. We as a family visited the Eatons occasionally and remember the warm and loving household that existed in that small town of North Vernon. We especially looked forward to the trip to the feed mill and the airport.
When Don and Marilyn retired they would meet Nola and Gene for dinners in Greenwood and even travel to Florida for some spirited games of bridge and golf. The atmosphere was always upbeat and Nola was the consummate hostess. Marilyn and Don always said what a good time it was to be with the Eatons.
To say that Nola will be missed is an understatement, but as we transition to the next phase of life, we can take some comfort in the blessing that Nola has been a presence in our lives and we had the opportunity to be present in hers. We hope and pray that she is better off without the daily struggle that she had endured.
From our family to yours, may God bless all of the Eaton family and may your anguish be quelled by the knowledge that Nola is with Gene flying high!

Condolences to the family and prayers for your comfort. Nola was a very special lady who taught me well in Junior High. She always had a smile and I enjoyed talking with her when we ran into each other while walking. She never would share her delicious Angel Food Cake recipe though!

Because of this special lady I learned to sew, cook and gained the love of sewing. She was a very special teacher that made a person want to learn and do things the right way.

Sorry for your loss.......Nola was so much more than a neighbor to us.......we loved her dearly. She definitely had a hand in Kane's love for golf and was so proud of that.
