Andre' J. Bouchardon

Andre’ J. Bouchardon, 92, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at his residence.

Andre’ was born on February 28, 1922 in Che’Nas, France the son of Gabriel M. and Jeanne M. Perraud Bouchardon. He married Martha Jo Ponder on November 27, 1971, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; she preceded him in death on August 15, 2007.

Andre’ was a retired architect and received his Bachelor’s Degree in architecture from the Kansas State University. He served in the French Air Force, OSS and Army during 1940 – 1957. In WWII he fought for the French underground and also fought in Korea; he was awarded the Bronze Star for Heroism in ground combat in 1944 and Distinguished Service Cross for action with the OSS from August 1943- March 1944, received the Purple Heart for wounds received in action, and was a Prisoner of War two times. . He was a member of OSS Society, V.F.W. and American Legion. He enjoyed cooking and playing cards. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon, Indiana.

Survivors include one son, Steven (Sharon)  Parisy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Renee’ Stansbury and Gloria (Tom) Bennett, both of North Vernon, Indiana; grandchildren, Chad Ogruek, Chris Parisy and Patricia Parisy, all of Oklahoma City, Leanne (Justin) Elkins of Columbus, Indiana, Angela (Matt) Amis of Carmel, Indiana, and Matthew Buzali, Laura Buzali, Aaron Bennett and Ryan Bennett, all of North Vernon; and four great-grandchildren, Lauren Amis of Carmel, Indiana, Aiden Elkins of Columbus, Indiana and Caleb and Noah Fry of Foot Hills Ranch, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha Jo Bouchardon and a sister, Alice Bouchardon.

In keeping with his wishes no services are planned. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana were entrusted with the care of his arrangements.
