Edna Anker, 79, of North Vernon passed away at 7:57 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born February 18, 1938 in Manchester, Kentucky, Mrs. Anker was the daughter of Coleman and Bertha Hollin Philpot. She married Robert Anker in May 1985 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2012.  

Mrs. Anker worked Hospitality in restaurants and hotels nationwide. She enjoyed crocheting and birds.

Survivors include her sons, Paul (Dena) Hallett of North Vernon, Walter Hallett of China, William Hallett of Seymour and Coleman “Rick” (Michelle) Hallett of Beaverton, Oregon; sister, Joanne (Joe) Alvey of Owensboro, Kentucky; grandchildren, Rachel Hallett and Andrew Hallett both of Beaverton, Oregon, Jason (Erin) Hallett and Anna Marie (Cory) Kuntz, Stephanie Burgess all of Seymour, and Christopher (Shanna) Hallett of Velpen; great-grandchild, Gracelynn Kuntz of Seymour; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Paul, Clarence and John Money; and sister, Lois Jean Money.

In keeping with her families wishes cremation is planned with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fordsville, Kentucky. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
